Caroline Riley

General Manager

Caroline Riley is the General Manager of Maru, an elevated rooftop bar from Indigo Road Hospitality Group, featuring a vibrant Nikkei menu that reflects Japanese tradition with Peruvian ingredients.    

Originally born in Barnegat, NJ, Riley began her journey in hospitality at just 14 years old, working summers at a burger and ice cream shack on the Jersey Shore. Riley made the move down south to attend the University of South Florida and majored in hospitality management. It was while she was working in the industry, going to college full time, and caring for her young daughter that she truly realized her passion was in hospitality, drawn to the relationships she built. In 2018, she was given the opportunity to manage a popular Tampa restaurant, which set her career into motion.  

Riley brings nearly a decade of hospitality industry expertise and knowledge to her role at Maru. She leads with a people-first leadership style and finds it rewarding to specially curate experiences for guests that put a smile on their face. Riley leads with empathy and a deep understanding of her team’s challenges, always working alongside them to foster growth. At Maru, she values building meaningful relationships with guests, staff, and vendors and finds fulfillment in creating a supportive work environment. 

When not at Maru, you can find Riley spending quality time with her daughter and cheering her on at basketball games.
